Lock Up Your Guns, Goyim

Senator Pamela J Lauria

Today the Rhode Island Senate approved legislation, introduced by Senator Pamela J Lauria, to require gun-owners of Rhode Island to lock up their firearms when not in use by the owner.

This bill would require the owner locking up their firearms when not in use, in a "locked container equipped with a tamper-resistant mechanical lock or other safety device, in order to render the firearm inoperable."

Of the 6 New England States, Massachusetts and Connecticut also require this of its gun-owners.

This Rhode Island legislation was passed on a 28 to 7 vote, and will now head to the House of Representatives; which is where anti-gun Rep. Justine A Caldwell is a fellow-sponsor of the bill.

"Nationwide, firearms are the number one killer of children. No one can call themsevles a responsible gun owner if they are leaving a gun where someone else can use it. Unsecured guns have harmed countless children as well as family members or friends who have accessed them for the purpose of suicide or crime. When a gun isn't under the owner's control, it's not safe anywhere unless it's secured. Responsible gun owners already do this, but it should be a requirement, not an option" - Senator Pamela J Lauria

Under this new legislation, the "unsafe storeage of a firearm" would be a civil offense punishable by a fine of upto $250 for a first offense, and a $1,000 fine for a second. All subsequent violations would result in 6 months of prison and a fine upto $500

The President of the Rhode Island Senate, Dominick J Ruggerio, had this to say about the legislation.

"The Senate has worked to enact numerous firearms safety legislation over the years to protect public safety without infringing upon the constitutional rights of firearms owners, including our state's Red Flag law, a prohibition on high-capacity magazines, and the Safe Schools Act. This is another common-sense step that we can take to improve public safety. I am proud to support it, and grateful to Senator Lauria for her leadership on the issue."

Opinion

As the condition of any empire begins to falter, so too shall the morals and philosophies of those in charge of those empires begins to falter.

The 2nd Amendment is very clear in that it is the individual's right to keep and bear arms, and that the individual is the smallest unit of a militia; which are needed for a open AND secure society. When you see government officials calling for the infringement - and even the complete destruction - of the 2nd Amendment, you need to only think of 1 thing: They want to kill you in the future when you are disarmed.

Outside of any crazed lunatic not in control over their own actions, anyone who claims that you should be disarmed is only claiming so because they want to harm you after you have been disarmed; there is no other reason for asking law-abiding people to disarm themselves.

If you give up your guns, you give up your life.
