The New Hampshire couple that was in a car-crash on 1/30/2024, turns out to have been struck by a Sheriff's Deputy, according to the Maine State Police.
As a result of the crash, both the couple and the Deputy was taken to the hospital; with the couple sustaining serious spinal injuries and the Deputy sustaining minor injuries.
The spokesman for the Maine State Police had releated a written response to criticisms as to why the details of the crash wasn't initially reported to the public.
"We didn't send out a release because, givin it was involved in an (officer-involved shooting), we though the AG's office would be handing it. And interestingly enough, no one in the media asked us for info until last week", the spokeman said. "When I spoke with the AG's office, they cleared us to release the info".
