Michael Major, ex-Chittenden County Sheriff |
Michael Major, who was Chittenden County Sheriff, was also a representative for the Vermont Police Association on the Criminal Justice Council.
Earlier today the Criminal Justice Council had been talking about a "Revised Far and Impartial Policing Policy" - policies that would embolden illegal aliens and hamper the police's ability to deal with illegal aliens.
During this meeting, Mr Major had interrupted an illegal alien - who identified himself as "Eduardo" - while he was speaking in support of the policy.
"To many of you, waiting a long time might feel normal, but for us it's very different. You know this plays into our everyday lives, the reality of dealing witht eh police is different for us", the illegal alien Eduardo said through a translator. He added, "Migrant workers, many of whom are undocumented, are often reluctant to go to the doctor when they are sick, for instance, because they fear being reported to immigration authorities".
Michael Major - unknown to him at the time - had his mic on but his remote-camera was not turned on. So his hot-mic had interrupted the illegal alien by saying "You're fucking here illegally and you're worried about being safe. Oh yeah".
After several participants had asked for the person to be identified, Michael Major named himself and apoligized for his remark.
"It wasn't directed towards the discussion. I was having a discussion with my daughter. I apologize, extremely. And it should not be reflected on the person that was talking at the time".
Again, several council members spoke up to criticize his comments - and question his "explenation", or rather, his mee bending of the knee to the mob - Major again apoligized and announced his resignation from the council. Later that same day he had resigned from his part-time patrol officer position with the Bristol Police Department, according to the Police Chief, Bruce Nason.
"Mike called me earlier today, I have accepted his resignation", Nason said in an email to VTDigger. "Major's comments do not reflect the views of the Bristol Police Department or the officers that seek to make the Bristol Community safe and welcoming to all".

Will Lambek of Migrant Justice called Michael Major's comment, "a clear and painful reflection of the racism that still exists in this state. How can any immigrant in Vermont hear those words and not fear that the police will turn them over to U.S Immigration and Customs Enforcement or Border Patrol if given the chance?", he said in a message to VTDigger after the council meeting had ended. He also says that Michael Major's remark "underscores the importance of passing the Fair and Impartial Policing Policy under review at the council".
Several of the council members - who also represent "advocacy groups" - had reached out to VTDigger to put in their own 2 cents.
Cassandra Burdyshaw - who represents the Vermont Human Rights Commission on the council - denounced the "derogatory comment as wholly inappropriate", and said that it "underscores the urgency of revisiting the Fair and Impartial Policing Policy.
"No person is illegal; each deserves respect, whether voicing their opinion at a meeting or interacting with law enforcement in Vermont's communities", Cassandra said in an emailed statement to VTDigger
Heather Simmons - Executive Director of the Criminal Justice Council and leader of the Vermont Police Academy - responded later in the meeting to apoligize to the community and to tell Major that he was no longer welcome at the Vermont Police Academy. Simons also said she was willing to offer resources, such as training, because "just saying sorry doesn't fix anything"
"I would imagine that you are mortified and if you're not than you have even more work to do", she said to Michael Major. "But the extent of the damage you have caused today I'm certain that you don't understand. For people who are trying to move in a direction of progress and kindness, accountability that doesn't lack compassion, you took your colleagues in law enforcement 20 steps backwards, you hurt the academy, you hurt me".
She went onto say that all of Major's colleagues in law enforcement would have to help repair the harm he had caused.
"This is a really kind of a tragic day for process and for showcasing the progress we are making" Heather Simmons added.

Opinions
When I read the words of these dysgenic and, quite frankly, disgusting people, I am once again reminded as to why the average peasant was not allowed to vote when this nation was founded.
Women who infantalize and emasculate other people - especially those who are in positions of authority - are always the "Truth Guard" when it comes to communistic societies/nations; they are the government snitches and the government shot-callers. They are the bulk of the ones who remind others of just what "line they have crossed" and the potential consequences of stepping over such an imaginary line.
Not to mention how, like clockwork, it's always the week and jewish-looking fellows who are some of the first to jump to the defense of an alien invader. If they're White, they do this in order to "earn good-boy points" with the non-Whites; in the hopes that they will remember it and return the favor when their anti-White dreams come true. The ones who are not White, well, they're jews; need I say more?
The worst part about this whole story to me is the fact that the main guy, Michael Major, bent the knee immediately to the anti-White and feeble crowd. Do I expect him to take the fight to DC for the White man? Of course not; but atleast have some balls and stick to what you say, especially if you're going to try to work in jobs that require you "sticking to your guns".
It is this flabby-spine mentality that has infected the Right - not that I'm saying Michael Major is right-wing, he's likely an old-school democrat (before they went 100% gay) - that inevetably rears its ugly head. Every conservative or right-winger has to use the lines "NAXALT" or "my X-race friend" or some other bullshit in order to not seem like a racist/bigot to the very people who hate their guts, and would like to see them and their families dead. The conservative, in many ways, is more childish than the socialist/leftie: atleast lefties understand that if you destroy your enemy, you have no real enemies left. Conservatives, on the other hand, would rather try to "educate" the left, or try to play it by the rules in a system that has made it abundently clear that the rules only apply to those who follow them.
