On 5/13/2023 a graduation party that was happening near Ahern and O'Malley st, Manchester New Hampshire, was shot up by several gunman. As a result, 4 people were taken into the hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
According to witnesses and victims who were at the graduation party, the party had 30 friends and family gathered; half at the barbeque area and half out front of their house. Then, just before 5pm a car had driven up to the house where 2 masked men then jumped out of the car and began firing at the partygoers.
The Mayor of Manchester, Joyce Craig, had this to say at the time of the shooting.
"Families and friends should be able to gather in peace. Gun violence is unacceptable in our community. Thankfully there were no fatalities, and my heart goes out to the victims and the families of those who were injured. I want to thank the first responders who quickly helped those in need. The Manchester Police Department works hard everyday, implementing gun violence reduction strategies; but to truly prevent this kind of violence, we need common sense gun safety laws that keep guns out of the hands of those who mean harm to our communities".
The charges for 2 of the men are as follows:
Emmanuel Sayle
1) 4 counts of reckless conduct
2) being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm.
Griffin O'Neil
1) felony criminal liability as an accomplice to reckless conduct
2) 2 counts of being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm
3 of these 4 men - Griffin O'Neil, Emmanuel Sayle, Trenton Liggins - was previously arrested for starting a brawl at the Red Arrow Diner on Lowell St in Manchester, New Hampshire on August 16, 2021.
The brawl involved 2 dozen people altogether, resulting in overturned tables, broken dinner plates and shattered plexiglass barries.
As a result of the brawl, Trenton Liggins was charged - and eventually convicted - of a felony riot charge.
Griffin O'Neil was also charged and convicted on 1 count of felony riot for this restuarant brawl. O'Neil has a lengthy record of cimes including felonies for possession of stolen firearms, drug possession, and probation violation. He was also arressted in June 2020 - during the George Floyd BLM riots - after unrest on South Willow Street, Manchester New Hampshire had ensued; he was arrested with a firearm in his possession according to the police reports. Griffin O'Neil had been released from prison earlier in the week of the graduation party shooting.
According to Source_8, it was with the help of discarded chicken bones which helped lead police to the shooting suspects. Half an hour before the shooting, the same vehicle which pulled upto the party was filmed having been parked on Amherst Street. The driver had gotten out of the vehicle and threw a white bag in a dumpster. Police had recovered the bag of chicken bones in the dumpster and found a Kennedy's Fried Chicken box in a white bag.
Due to this discovery, the Kennedy's Fried Chicken store had provided access to their security camera system, which the police immediately recognized Emmanuel Sayle and Griffin O'Neil.
Emmanuel Sayle had served around 1.5 years in prison after being convicted of criminal threatening with a gun during a domestic violence incident at Elmwood Gardens. According to the court records, in June of 2021, Sayle had punched a man and then pointed a gun at the man's head and said "this is my projects", along with "Red Couch Gang"; a reference to a well-known gang in the city of Manchester, New Hampshire.
