On January 15, 2024 the Hamden, Connecticut Police Department responded to a residence call on Hampton Road to check on the residents, and ended up finding 2 people dead.
The Hamden Police had determined that the 2 people who were found dead was a married couple. They identified the woman as a 76 year old Patricia Petrini, and the man as a 80 year old Francis Petrini.
After examining the bodies, the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner said that Patricia had died of a gunshot wound, and her death was ruled a homicide. Her husband was determined to have died from a self-inflicted gunshot would, Hamden police have stated.
