Today the house of Representatives of Vermont passed a bill (H. 72) that would layout the legal groundwork to allow for "Overdose Prevention Centers"; and would pay for a pilot program of 2 lcoations within the state.
Governor Phil Scott has already suggested that he would veto the bill if it ever hit his desk.
Representative (((Emilie Kornheiser))), D-Brattleboro, said that her favorite part about living in a small town is watching kids grow op. But due to opioids, "in the past 10 years I watched those children die. I've grieved the deaths of my friends' precious children, of my own loved ones, of clients. We can't go on like this".

These "Overdose Prevention Centers" will allow drug users to bring their illegal drugs to a state-sanctioned location where they could then use those drugs with no worry of legal consequences or arrest.
The city of Burlington, through its Mayor - (((Miro Weinberger))) - and City Council, has already signaled its willingness to be a host for one of these drug-use centers.

Though the Vermont lawmakers have not been specific about where the 2nd location might be, they have mentioned Southern Vermont as a likely candidate.
Representative Eric Maguire, R-Rutland, said he supports the concept of Overdose Prevention Centers. But he believes the model is ultimately doomed as it is.
He also wanted assurances that the Federal Government would not prosecute clients (drug users) and staff at the site.
During a press conference yesterday, Governor Phil Scott said that he notified the House and Senate leadership of his position on the bill, calling it "a bridge too far".
"I just don't think a government entity should be in the business of enabling those who are addicted to those drugs that are illegal".
Opinion
Vermont is going down the same exact path that California started down little more than 20 years ago. I travel throughout all of New England, and I've found Vermont and her people to be some of the most kindest and helpful that I've come across; but this niceness will ultimately be their downfall.
The people of Vermont, especially those who you would assume would be against its corruption and decay, are the very same ones who push for things that will only cause their beloved state to become just a smaller and poorer version of California.
And to nobody's surprise at all, a bunch of jews are at the forefront of opening up drug-use centers in a state that is mostly White, for drug users that will be mostly White. When are they not facilitating the destruction of White people?
When/if these centers do open up, you will find the homeless encamped in the immediate vicinity. You will see a high uptick of human feces on the sidewalks. You will see a major increase of armed-robberies and rapes in the towns and areas that these drug-use centers pop up. I know this because I watched the same thing happen to California, among other states that followed down the same path.
So not only is the state of Vermont going to see a huge increase of illegal aliens - due to them being shipped up to New York and New Jersey from the border states - but the state will also see a huge increase of drug use and illicit drug-dealing on the streets.
The Green Mountaineers are rolling in their graves right now.
