Military Enforced Gun Confiscation

Senator of Maine, Susan Collins, Republican

A bill that was written and recently published by the female Republican Senator of Maine, Susan Collins, calls for the use of the military in the event of a forced gun confiscation from a civilian.

"This bill would direct branches of the military to take advantage of state laws (red flag laws) to remove weapons from "people deemed dangerous"."

This bill is a "response" to the Lewiston Gunman, Robert Card, who was ex-military.
The army had forbidden him from having access to weapons and ammunition after having been hospitalized in a psychiatric facility in New York; but the Army neglected to inform New York and Maine's officials of his mental status.

Senator Susan Collins' father had served in WW2, earning himself a Bronze Star for Heroism, and a Purple Heart with a Oak Cluster after being wounded in the Battle of the Bulge.

Opinion

This was always the eventual outcome. The military was always going to be used to confiscate the firearms of Americans, so it's no real surprise that it would become official in writing.
Those who still think that the military won't be used by both Democrats and Republicans to strip your rights away and make you into a slave are fucking morons who should Suck-start a bazooka.

If you don't think that it can happen, then you're simply one of the first who will throw their hands up for mercy when they come.
